Are you excited about Valentine’s Day? Or maybe you’re more excited about Galentine’s Day? Try this rosewater bath to get your pup glammed and ready to hit the town!

I don’t know about you, but I love being spoiled and pampered! So I talked my mom into giving me the ultimate spa treatment, the works!

There are many benefits of roses for pups. They’re packed with antioxidants and help in keeping a healthy immune system. Rose Tea can be used to treat a variety of things such as eye infections, small wounds, upset stomach, and dry/irritated skin. To be safe, make sure you do thorough research and consult a vet on how to best implement treatments for your pup.

Things you need:

  • 1-2 bouquets of roses (depending on the size of your tub/pup)
  • 1 cup of hot water
  • 1 bathtub
  • candles
  • soothing spa music
  • 1 spoiled pup

This is pretty easy. To make the rosewater (rose tea) you start with a small bunch of rose petals (a handful is plenty). Soak the petals in 1 cup of hot water. Let them steep for about 10 minutes. You can vary the steep time depending on how strong you want the rose tea to be.

Once the petals have steeped, fill your bathtub with warm water and pour in the rose tea, making sure to strain the soggy rose petals. Add the remaining rose petals from your bouquet(s). And of course, add your spoiled pup.

The final step is to set the mood. Play soothing spa music, dim the lights and light some candles. Make sure the candles don’t have a super strong scent that will overwhelm your pup’s sensitive nose. I think this goes without saying but ill say it anyway: please make sure that you keep the candles a safe distance from your pup. We don’t want any charred pooches. Yikes! And last but not least, give that spoiled pup a relaxing massage and bring on the treats!
